What to write about
Submit a wrong fact
Got a debunked fact, urban legend, Mandela effect, or playground myth you reckon belongs here? Send it through. Include:
- One line on what people believed
- One line on the correction
- At least one source link (peer-reviewed paper, primary document, established fact-checker)
The public submission form is paused while we rebuild the moderation queue. Email works in the meantime, and there's a queue running.
Suggest a correction
Spot a wrong fact about a wrong fact? Tell us. We get things wrong about how things were wrong, occasionally. Include the URL and the specific line you think needs revising, plus a source if you have one.
Editorial enquiries
Researchers, journalists, podcasters, teachers, content creators: if you want to cite a WrongFacts page, link to one of our debunkings, or discuss a fact with us before publishing, we're happy to chat. Same email.
Partnerships and syndication
We do not currently syndicate content or accept guest posts. WrongFacts is part of the RefDat reference data network. Cross-network collaboration enquiries to admin@refdat.com.
Legal and privacy
For privacy concerns, see our privacy policy. For terms of use, see the terms page. For takedown requests or legal matters, email admin@refdat.com with subject line "Legal".
Response times
We aim to reply within 48 hours on weekdays. Fact submissions and corrections go into a moderation queue; published items receive credit unless you request anonymity. Editorial enquiries get faster turnaround.
