Carrots Give You Perfect Vision

Carrots improve vision only if you're deficient in vitamin A

Eating lots of carrots will give you perfect eyesight and allow you to see in the dark.

Carrots contain beta-carotene (vitamin A), which is essential for vision, but eating excessive carrots beyond normal vitamin A needs doesn't improve eyesight. The myth was popularised by British WWII propaganda claiming pilots' superior night vision came from eating carrots when it actually resulted from radar technology. Normal dietary vitamin A intake is sufficient for healthy vision.
