We are in it. The pandemic. Vaccine misinformation at unprecedented scale. AI tools that confidently generate fluent nonsense. The dopamine detox. The cold plunge. Microplastics in your bloodstream and probably your testicles. ChatGPT mistaken for a search engine. The smart bet on this decade is that we'll look back in 2050 and find the same proportion of confidently held beliefs were wrong as in any decade before. We won't know which ones until we get there.
