Curious George Has a Tail

Curious George has never been drawn with a tail in the original books or official illustrations. He's depicted as resembling an ape more than a tailed monkey. Many people remember him with a tail, possibly because monkeys and primates are commonly associated with tails, or from inconsistent depictions in merchandise and adaptations.
