Elephants never forget anything. Their memory is perfect, and they remember every detail of everything they've experienced.
Elephants do have impressive long-term memory and can remember locations, individuals, and events over many years. However, they don't have perfect memory. Like all animals and humans, elephants forget things, make memory errors, and their memory degrades over time. Their strong spatial memory helps them find water and navigate their environment during drought.
